FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here is a selection of many answers to questions and questions that you can ask yourself and have in mind before booking and before setting off on your activity :

GENERAL QUESTIONS


Like all outdoor sports, canyoning involves risks. Going down a river is not like  a chill afternoon with Netflix. But rest assured, all our outings are supervised by state-qualified instructors who know their environment perfectly and can thus offer you an activity with the minimum of risk.

There is no problem to come and discover the activity. Our “Discovery Canyoning” formulas are totally adapted to all.

No need to be Mike Horn or Superman to share a fun and sporty good time.

Do not panic, NO JUMP is mandatory !!! There is always a way around if you don’t want to jump. The highest jumps are around 10 meters in some of our canyons.

However keep in mind that the guide is the final judge in the realization and the free execution of these. If your guide does not feel you are suitable for carrying out these or if he advises you against it, you will be and remain in control of your actions.

The objective in canyoning remains to have fun and have fun all along the descent without putting yourself in danger.

When making your reservation, you will have the possibility to fill in all the measurements of your group on our website or by telephone. That is to say the heights (in centimeters), the weight (in kilograms) and the sizes of the feet.

Once this information has been collected, it will allow our guides to prepare the most suitable neoprene equipment for each and everyone. Neoprene suits (long John and jacket), neoprene socks, harnesses and helmets.

Do not hesitate to be as specific as possible and to contact us in case of special request.

For the canyoning activity you will need little equipment. A swimsuit, a towel and a bottle of water for all participants.

We also ask you to bring sneakers to go through the canyon and swim: Don’t worry your sneakers love to swim !!!

(Depending on the weather, your guide may ask you to bring rain gear in order to do the approach walk in the dry.)

Our guides take many photos and sometimes some videos during the activities. And maybe become a super influencer 2.0

Don´t wory all photo are inclued and free.

Your photos are sending to your reservation email with we transfer. After your Canyoning trip, you will receive your photos by email within 5 to 7 days.

(In the case of a reservation without email we can send you your photos via social networks by private message)

It will depend on the canyon and the activity . On average the size of the groups is 8 to 10 participants (10 participants being the maximum number).

PAYMENT, RESERVATION & INSURANCE


We accept many payment methods. Online payment with credit card, checks or cash directly on site.

Several ways to book your activities: by phone, email or via our Regiondo booking platform.

We remind all of our customers to ensure together that the course you have chosen is the best suited (travel time, weather, level of the canyon)

Transportation to your activity locations is not included in the price. For all of our activities you will need to get to the meeting point by your own means.

However, if you do not have any means of transport, it is always possible to carpool provided that you are in the locality of Nouméa.

For all activities, Vertigo Madeira uses qualified instructors covered by professional liability insurance. Professional Civil Liability covers material, immaterial and/or bodily damage caused to others as a result of error, fault or negligence.

In addition, for Canyoning activities, Vertigo Madeira has taken out Personal Accident Insurance. Each client and participant of Vertigo Sardegna then benefits from the Individual Accident allowing him to be covered when the latter is injured without necessarily a third party responsible.
